The Intellijel Boombox was originally assembled in more than one fashion – the four nylon nuts that the speaker mounting screws are screwed into are sometimes glued in place, but are also sometimes loose. In the former scenario, replacement is fairly straightforward, just make sure the large O-ring is in the correct position to seat the speaker against the panel. This position should be very evident when you first remove the original panel. Do not over-tighten the speaker mounting screws.
In the latter scenario, you may have to actually disassemble the black plastic speaker enclosure housing, gather the four loose nylon nuts, then mount the speaker itself to the panel with the four nylon nuts (again making sure the large O-ring is in the correct position to seat the speaker), then reassemble the enclosure, taping the black plastic enclosure to the back of the speaker and the panel, using electrical tape to make a good, air-tight seal. Note that the factory units used both glue and/or electrical tape as well to seal the enclosure.
In both cases, do NOT over-tighten the speaker mounting screws. These screws should be snug, not tight.
