Switching panels on a module might void the manufacturer warranty of that module.

Here is how to install your new replacement panel:

1. Module safety
Please make sure to take the necessary anti-static precautions when handling delicate electronic equipment.

2. Unscrew
Remove all knobs and knurlies from the shafts and jacks. If there are any screws holding the panel in place, remove them as well.
(An IC puller can be very helpful and convenient when removing knobs, but it is not necessary.)

3. Remove
Carefully remove the original panel from the module.
(A few modules can have loose parts (washers for example) below the panel, so take care to not turn it upside down at this stage.)
- If there is a removable display protection attached to the original panel, carefully transfer it to the new panel.
- If there are light pipes attached to the original panel, carefully transfer them to the new panel. Sometimes you might need to apply some small bits of tape on the back side of the panel to keep them in place when panel/module gets turned upside down.
- If your new panel comes with washers: place these on jacks as far apart/near the corners as possible to give the new panel extra support.

4. Install
Carefully put the new panel on the module. This can be a bit finicky for big modules with a lot of jacks. Just take your time and be patient. No big amounts of force should be necessary.

5. Fasten
When the panel is fitted correctly, reattach all the knurlies, screws and pots.
(An allen key in the right size is helpful (but not necessary) if your new panel comes with replacement screws.)

6. Celebrate! 🎉
